Sahabat Data - The growth/development of food and beverage businesses needs special attention. The more food and beverage businesses grow, the more revenue that can increase tourism Gross Domestic Product (GDP) in particular and GDP in general.

The economy in Jayapura Municipality is largely driven by increased household consumption and one of the fastest growing economic activities is the food and beverage supply business.

Through the VREST UMB survey, BPS captures the condition of tourism supporting businesses, to obtain information/characteristic data related to restaurants and restaurants to calculate added value in the tourism industry with accurate and up-to-date data through the VREST 2024 Survey.

The implementation of the 2024 VREST Survey was carried out in order to provide support for the preparation of the 2026 Economic Census. The VREST 2024 officer training was organized by BPS Papua Province virtually and face-to-face consisting of representatives from BPS-Regencies (PS).
