Statistics of Jayapura Municipality Holds Training for the 2026 Farmer Welfare Survey (SKP)

Statistics of Jayapura Municipality conducted the Training for Officers of the 2026 Farmer Welfare Survey (SKP) on 31 August 2026. The training aimed to equip field officers with an understanding of the concepts, definitions, data collection procedures, and survey instruments used in the 2026 SKP.

The training covered various aspects of farmer household welfare, including household identification and demographics, health, education, employment, housing conditions, food insecurity, income and economic conditions, access to agricultural businesses, environmentally friendly farming practices, risk mitigation, social conditions, and psychological well-being. Participants were also introduced to the FASIH Application and Monitoring Dashboard to support accurate and effective data collection in the field.

The Head of Statistics of Jayapura Municipality, Sugiyanto, S.ST., M.Si., emphasized that the 2026 SKP is designed to measure the welfare of farmer households in Indonesia. The resulting data will serve as an important basis for the government in formulating agricultural policies and strengthening farmer protection.

Through this training, field officers are expected to carry out the survey accurately, carefully, responsibly, and in accordance with established standards, ensuring the production of high-quality statistical data. Statistics of Jayapura Municipality also seeks the support of the local government, agricultural extension officers, and farming communities to ensure the smooth implementation of the 2026 SKP in the field.
