Abstract

Jayapura Municipality's Economy in 2021 Grows by 3.28 Percent

Jayapura Municipality's economy based on the amount of Gross Regional Domestic Product (GDP) based on current prices in 2021 reached Rp 33.1996 Trillion and based on constant prices in 2010 it reached Rp 22.852 Trillion.

The economy of Jayapura Municipality in 2021 compared to 2020 experienced a growth of 3.28 percent (y-on-y). In terms of production, the Transportation and Warehousing Business Field experienced the highest growth of 15.07 percent. From the expenditure side, the Gross Fixed Capital Formation (PMTB) component experienced the highest growth of 11.59 percent.

The economic structure of Jayapura Municipality in 2021 is dominated by Construction Business Fields by 25.69 percent, followed by Wholesale and Retail Trade; Repair of Cars and Motorcycles by 16.79 percent, Government Administration, Defense and Mandatory Social Security by 12.25 percent, Information and Communication by 8.18 percent, and Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries by 5.80 percent. The role of these five business fields in the economy of Jayapura City reached 68.71 percent.
