Data Needs Survey: To Improve the Quality Standard of Statistical Services

Jayapura, Dear data user - On February 29, 2024, the Central Statistics Agency (BPS) held a briefing on the Data Needs Survey (SKD) through the Zoom online platform. The event was attended by various BPS representatives from all over Indonesia, including BPS Kota Jayapura, as an initial step to develop a comprehensive and targeted data needs survey plan.

The briefing aimed to provide survey officers with an in-depth understanding of the methodology, data collection instruments and objectives of the SKD. In addition, through interactive sessions, participants can exchange information and experiences to improve the quality of survey implementation in the field.

BPS Kota Jayapura actively participated in this briefing by sending representatives to gain new insights and ensure that the district can optimally contribute to the implementation of SKD. Participation from various regions is expected to enrich perspectives and ensure that the survey covers various data needs that are relevant to their respective local conditions.

The involvement of BPS Kota Jayapura in this SKD briefing shows a strong commitment in supporting efforts to collect quality and accurate data for the benefit of development planning and policy making at the local level. Thus, it is expected that the survey results produced can become a solid foundation in formulating strategic steps to improve community welfare in Kota Jayapura.
