Quarterly VIMK Officer Training in 2024

Dear Data Companion - One of the data collected by BPS is statistics on the industrial sector which is used in the calculation of Indonesia's GDP and Provincial GRDP. The Quarterly Micro and Small Industry Survey (VIMK), also known as VIMK24 Quarterly, is a survey that aims to obtain the production growth index of micro and small-scale businesses/enterprises according to the 2-digit Indonesian Standard Industrial Classification (KBLI) at the national and provincial levels.

VIMK24 Quarterly 2024 is conducted 4 times a year. For the implementation of VIMK24 Quarterly, BPS of Jayapura Municipality will collect data in 5 districts according to the IMK household sample target. Quarterly VIMK24 officer training attended by 7 field officers (PML and PCL) was held offline on 15 October 2024 in the meeting room of BPS Jayapura Municipality.

As the SOP in the statistical business process, every BPS officer always receives training before carrying out census/survey data collection tasks. BPS officers are also provided with a letter of assignment, identification, and cover letter for census/survey activities.

In general, officer training aims to provide officers with an understanding of the concept and methodology of census/survey implementation to obtain certain quality so that data accuracy can be accounted for. Quality assurance is also applied by BPS in every stage of the implementation of data collection activities so that the data produced is valid, accurate, and reliable (PS).
