Supervision from the Directorate of Statistical Information System (SIS) of BPS Centre

Jayapura - On Monday 20 November 2023, BPS Kota Jayapura received a visit from the Supervision Team of BPS RI. The visit was in order to ensure that the implementation of the Post Enumeration Survey of the 2023 Agricultural Census (PES-ST2023) in Jayapura City had been carried out according to SOPs and according to field conditions, especially the sample of individual agricultural business units (UTP).

      As it is known that in an effort to oversee the quality of ST2023 data, BPS Kota Jayapura conducted PES-ST2023. PES data collection activities aim to evaluate the quality of ST2023 data results, especially related to non-sampling errors. Non-sampling errors include errors caused by field officers and/or respondents, both in the form of coverage errors and content errors.

      However, PES data collection is conducted independently of ST2023 and is not used to correct ST2023 results. Unlike the 2023 Agricultural Census, which covers all agricultural businesses in Indonesia, PES data collection only captures data from a sample of individual agricultural business units (UTPs) spread across 230 sample districts/cities, including Jayapura City.
