On Wednesday, March 07, 2024, BPS Kota Jayapura, especially the Sectoral Statistics Development Team, participated in the Internalization of Regional Level Sectoral Statistics Development through a zoom meeting held by BPS Papua Province.
This activity was opened by the Head of BPS Papua Province, Adriana Helena Carolina, SE, MM. She gave direction regarding the preparation of the Evaluation of the Implementation of Sectoral Statistics. The task of BPS in the National Statistics System is to realize a reliable, effective and efficient SSN (National Statistics System); Realizing SDI (One Data Indonesia).
The linkage of PSS (Development of Sectoral Statistics) with EPSS (Evaluation of the Implementation of Sectoral Statistics) is as follows:
- Sectoral Statistics Development is a "must" for BPS.
- EPSS results are used as a reference in the development of sectoral statistics so that they are more targeted
- Development of Sectoral Statistics and EPSS must be done together and continuously
- Need to establish BPS Internal Governance for Collaboration of Coaching and EPSS Teams to Achieve the Same Target
- Strengthening the Competence of BPS Human Resources in Conducting Guidance and Evaluation of Sectoral Statistics
Development of Sectoral Statistics is one of the duties of Provincial BPS and Regency / City BPS which is regulated through BPS Regulation no. 5 of 2023 concerning Organization and Work Procedures of Provincial BPS and Statistic regency/Municipality.
